Solid Framework Samples

This is a concise sample to help get Solid Framework up and running. It has been tested with the Free Developer License of Solid Framework using different versions of Microsoft's Visual Studio. For version specific instructions:

    Samples

    PDF Creator

    pdfcreator.zip - this sample works with any Solid Framework license including Free and Developer ( also free). You also need to have one of our PDF creation printer drivers installed like Solid PDF Creator. No license is needed for Solid PDF Creator in this case.

    pdftowordconverter.zip - this sample works with a Developer (Free) or Professional Solid Framework license.


    Instructions

    Each of these samples is delivered as a ZIP and you should preserve the folder structure when expanding it. Follow the steps appropriate to your development environment.

    Visual Studio 2005

    1. Open the version 8 solution (*_ 8 .sln) file in Visual Studio 2005.
    2. Unzip solidframework.zip to any location - best practice is to include SolidFramework.dll in the same location as the rest of your project source code.
    3. Add a Reference to SolidFramework. Under References in the project tree, make sure that SolidFramework is listed.
      Examine the Properties of this reference: Make sure the path points to the location mentioned above.
    4. Enter your Configuration. In the project tree, select the JobSettings and enter any sample specific settings like the source path of a sample file.

    5. Compile and Run.

    Visual C# 2008 Express Edition

    1. Open the version 9 solution (*_ 9 .sln) file in Visual C# 2008 Express Edition.
    2. Unzip solidframework.zip to any location - best practice is to include SolidFramework.dll in the same location as the rest of your project source code.
