Q. Why am I having problems opening online help for version 3?

A. Internet Explorer 7 added firewall security that sometimes interferes with opening and using files such as help files in the CHM format. With IE 7 a CHM file cannot be opened from a remote or temporary location. If a user selects Open file during a download from a Web browser, the downloaded CHM file is saved to a Windows temporary file location. This location doesn't allow remote HTML files to be viewed. Thus, the CHM file will display an error stating that the Web page cannot be viewed. To get around this problem, you can save the CHM file to a local directory first, then open the file.
