Solid Documents stellt die leistungsstarke neue Version 7.0 des Solid Framework .NET-Softwareentwicklungskits vor

Newest version enhances conversion and reconstruction features; Gives developers power to build applications for the creation, modification and conversion of PDF files within 64-bit native environment

REDMOND, WA –July 28, 2010 - Solid Documents, a leading developer of document reconstruction and archiving software, today announced the latest release of its Solid Framework .Net Software Development Kit (SDK). Version 7.0 gives developers more flexibility in developing applications with the SDK . It includes tools, documentation and samples developers can reference to write, build, test and deploy .NET Framework applications. It is also designed to dramatically speed time to market for companies who use the SDK to develop or integrate document reconstruction and archiving applications within their product set. Solid Framework is immediately available for download from the Solid Framework Developer Portal.

“This release of Solid Framework 7.0 further underscores our commitment to the developer community,” said Michael Cartwright, Solid Documents’ founder. “Dozens of companies are already integrating Solid Framework into their product offerings. With the release of version 7.0, we’re confident many more developers will find immense value and unequalled capabilities in our technology.”

Solid Framework now supports numerous additional platforms, including Windows 7, Microsoft Office 2010, Windows Server 2008 R2 and all the x64 variants. It offers significant improvements over the previous version in conversion and reconstruction. Additionally, Solid Framework 7.0 allows developers to work in a 64-bit native development environment. The Solid Framework .dll is built as an “AnyCPU” Framework and automatically runs x86 or x64 native, depending on the process that loads it. It can also function as a Native C++ API for customers who want to avoid .NET dependency.

Users of Solid Framework .NET SDK Professional 7.0 can:

  • Convert PDF files to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HTML, Data (CSV) and plain text. SDK creates .docx, .xlsx, and .pptx in the ZIP-based Open Office XML ISO Standard formats directly
  • PDF/A validation and PDF to PDF/A conversion
  • Render PDF pages as bitmaps
  • Create PDF from any Windows application using a generic print provider or use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, WordPerfect and HTML specific print providers
  • Browse content and internal structure of PDF files, modify viewer preferences and document info and change security (encryption, permissions and passwords)

New Features of the SDK include PDF to data which recovers data directly to CSV (comma delimited data files) and PDF to PowerPoint which converts PDF presentations into Microsoft PowerPoint format (.pptx). Improvements include better pattern rendering, inline object support and image compression in PDF to Word; improved PDF to HTML conversion, improved table support in PDF to Excel and metadata where document properties are preserved when converting to Word, Excel and HTML.
